With President Barack Obama’s health care law overhaul looming in the horizon, administration officials announced on Monday that for the millions of uninsured Americans, the Affordable Care Act is now a step closure to reality. While you can now open you own ‘Obamacare’ account, you will have to wait for some more time to be able to choose a health insurance plan using it.
Await Some Serious Shopping
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said that people could go online, on healthcare.gov to create an account for themselves. However, to be able to do some serious shopping they would have to wait until September, when the details of the insurance plans and premiums offered in local areas would be uploaded on the site.
For those who doubted whether the ‘Obamacare’ account would become a reality, Sebelius assured that they were ‘on target’ and ready to ‘flip the switch on October 1st’.
The new healthcare account is at present available only in English language, although it can soon be also read in Spanish.
