Injured Brazil football superstar Neymar will not be able to play football for months, which effectively ruled him out of the World Cup. The player sustained broken vertebra after a vicious challenge by Colombia’s Camilo Zuniga in the World Cup quarterfinals.

Brazil team doctor Jose Ruiz Runco insisted that the young forwards is still not fit enough to play against Germany. Despite the hopes of the fans and teammates, there is simply no chance for him to make a miraculous comeback.

In an interview, he said, “Neymar has an injury which needs to heal. It could seriously risk his recovery if he plays, and jeopardise his career.”

“We will not create the illusion of something that does not exist. We have no choice but to not play him,” he added.

Semifinal Heavyweights

Brazil will face Germany in the semifinals as they hope to win the Cup in their own soil. But apart from Neymar, the Selecao will also have to make do without captain Thiago Silva after he incurred a second yellow card in their clash against Colombia.
