A recent survey shows the rapidly growing support for the legalization of marijuana in America, but the poll also revealed what Americans consider most immoral.
Opinions on behaviors such as smoking marijuana, drinking alcohol, cheating on taxes, and adultery have significantly changed since a similar survey was conducted by Time Magazine in 1987.
In 1987, 7 out of the 8 activities surveyed were considered by the majority to be morally wrong. But now, only 3 behaviors are believed to be morally wrong by a majority.
These immoral activities include being married but having sex with someone else, cheating on taxes, and having an abortion.
The researchers surveyed 1,010 Americans through telephones and cellphones to ask questions on social issues.
According to the survey, 93% of Americans found being married and having sex with someone else to be immoral.
This shows that public opinion has changed most since 1987 on marijuana and homosexuality.
